Atasehir’s masterplan develops a residential and tertiary complex in the eastern heart of Istanbul, interpreting the coexistence of two urban dimensions: the modern, abstract rationality of Western urbanity and the casbah structure of Eastern tradition.
The buildings, organized in towers and the horizontally aligned buildings dialogue with the Landscape system and form an integrated architectural and urban system freed from vehicular traffic.

Architecture and landscape integration
The design articulates vertical and horizontal volumes with attention to the relationships between buildings and green spaces, generating a continuous interior landscape that enhances pathways, courtyards, and squares. The Park above the basement with offices and interior courtyards promote social interaction, connection between functions and visual continuity.
Residential and Functional Typology
Residential blocks are disjointed to shape different building types, and thus avoid anonymous repetition: each building is shaped according to principles of typology, transparency and accessibility, ensuring identity for private and collective spaces. Towers define urban landmarks, while horizontal units create micro-environments of internal community.
Innovation and urban sustainability
The proposal integrates strategies of sustainability, connection to the city and functional flexibility. Public and pedestrian spaces are designed to provide safe and usable routes, while the distribution of volumes optimizes solar orientation and natural ventilation, promoting energy efficiency and living comfort.
Dialogue between urban cultures
Atasehir Masterplan interprets Istanbul as a crossroads of urban cultures: the structure relates Western geometric rigor and Eastern complexity, generating a replicable residential model in similar contexts, capable of respecting historical memory and contemporary needs.
