TCL Headquarters

Office Tower Shenzhen

TCL’s new headquarters in Shenzhen was born in the heart of the Base Superheadquarters-one of the world’s most ambitious business districts-with a clear mission: to give architectural form to a global brand identity, combining technology, landscape and urbanity into a landmark recognizable on an international scale.

The project reinterprets the Class A office tower by going beyond the monolithic model: two radically different fronts, a multilayer system of public spaces, a continuous dialogue between built and nature.

Design

Two faces, one identity

To the east, toward the tower district, a compact glazed facade evokes the idea of a technological display-digital surface that reflects and communicates the TCL brand. To the west, toward the Shenzhen Bay lagoon, a second fluid skin wraps around the tower and extends to cover the commercial volume, dialoguing with the soft forms of the natural landscape. Two opposing languages, one coherent architecture.

Multilayer city

Green as infrastructure

The first three levels are entirely dedicated to the public: lobbies, conference center, cultural spaces, retail and dining, connected to the neighborhood’s pedestrian pathways at both street level and elevation. A commercial boulevard separates and at the same time connects the tower with the public volume, creating a lively and permeable urban system.

The design integrates greenery at every elevation: plazas on the ground, terraces distributed along the tower, scenic roof garden on the roof with fitness area and wellness spaces. Green facades enter the architectural language, transforming the building into a living system that responds to the landscape of the Shenzhen Bay Green Valley.

Near Zero Energy, High Aesthetic Profile

Brand identity and global scale

The second west skin is a glass-and-metal brise-soleil designed for solar control and energy conservation, following the Near Zero Energy Building philosophy. Photovoltaic cells integrated in the roof and facade balance energy consumed and energy produced.

Every choice-formal, technological, programmatic-is geared toward building an image capable of communicating TCL Group’s strength and vision internationally, in the context of one of the world’s most competitive innovation hubs.
