Studio
For us, architecture is a cultural act capable of interpreting the present and imagining new scenarios of contemporary life.
We conceive every project as an opportunity to generate a lasting impact on people, places, and communities.
Nemesi Architects is an architecture and urban design firm with offices in Rome, Milan, and Shenzhen. Founded in 1997 by Michele Molè and co-directed with Susanna Tradati, it was born as a place of research, discussion, and experimentation, where design becomes a tool for interpreting contemporaneity and a driver of cultural, urban, and social transformation. Over the years, the firm has developed projects with a strong cultural and civic vocation, including Palazzo Italia for Expo Milano 2015—a symbol of innovation, sustainability, and contemporary Italian identity—and PM23 | The Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti Museum in Rome, a space where architecture, fashion, memory, and culture interact, creating a new immersive public experience where creativity and education intertwine. Our experience encompasses the design of offices, residences, infrastructure, cultural and leisure spaces, public buildings, and urban masterplans, with a view to meeting the needs of public and private clients through solutions that combine architectural quality, innovation, and lasting value. We believe that architecture should generate a positive impact on the local area and its clients, helping to build identity, cultural value, attractiveness, and new relationships between people, the city, and the environment. Each project is conceived as an opportunity to activate processes of regeneration, create new experiential scenarios, and improve the way we experience contemporary spaces. Nemesi Architects' design practice is grounded in a philosophy that rejects simplification and seeks a balance between innovation, technical rigor, and poetic tension. Architecture thus becomes experience, relationship, and narrative. Each project is conceived as a living system, balanced between form, material, and landscape, capable of generating recognizable spaces deeply rooted in their context. In the ongoing dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity, between vision and construction, Nemesi Architects explores architecture as a space of possibility, where utopia confronts reality to transform into a shared form. We place the quality of design at the heart of our thinking on urban transformation, a core value of the Italian tradition of urban planning and landscape architecture, in contrast to the trivialisation of reality.
We nurture a dialogue with tradition, with our cultural and landscape heritage, drawing on our historical roots and accumulated experience to give continuity and depth to our projects and make them a living part of their time and place.
We are constantly exploring the potential of new technologies as a means of expanding the expressive possibilities of architecture and enhancing control over the design process.
Innovation thus becomes a catalyst for integrating spatial quality, technical efficiency and environmental responsibility, anticipating and interpreting the most advanced standards of integrated sustainability.
In this balance between experimentation and awareness, the project emerges as a concrete and lasting response to the challenges of the present and the future.
We explore reality and the complex systems that govern it, adopting a systemic and integrated design approach that brings together spatial, social, environmental and economic dimensions.
Every project is conceived as a responsible act, the impact of which is assessed from a broad and informed perspective, taking a 360-degree view of the effects that architecture generates over time, within society and in the local areas where it is situated.
