Studio
For us, architecture is a cultural act capable of interpreting the present and imagining new scenarios for contemporary life.
We conceive every project as an opportunity to generate lasting impact on people, places, institutions, and communities. More than creating buildings, we see architecture as a tool for shaping identity, generating relationships, and activating processes of cultural, urban, and social transformation.
Nemesi Architects is an architecture and urban design practice with offices in Rome, Milan, and Shenzhen. Founded in 1997 by Michele Molè and co-directed with Susanna Tradati, the studio develops projects that interpret architecture as an infrastructure for public life, collective experience, and the creation of cultural value.
Over the years, Nemesi has developed projects with a strong civic and cultural vocation, creating interventions capable of activating relationships between people, cities, institutions, and landscape. Among them, Palazzo Italia for Expo Milan 2015 became an international symbol of innovation, sustainability, and contemporary Italian identity; PM23 | The Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti Foundation in Rome redefined the relationship between architecture, fashion, and cultural production; while projects such as MNAST Rabat and Grande MAXXI explore architecture as a framework capable of generating new institutions, public space, and cultural ecosystems. Our experience spans offices, hospitality, residential developments, infrastructures, cultural institutions, public buildings, and large-scale urban masterplans. Across different programs, contexts, and scales, we collaborate with public and private clients to develop projects that combine architectural quality, innovation, and long-term value. We believe architecture should create positive and measurable impact—not only through performance and sustainability, but through its ability to generate identity, cultural value, attractiveness, and new relationships between people, cities, and landscapes. Each project is conceived as an opportunity to activate regeneration processes, construct new experiential environments, and improve the way contemporary spaces are inhabited and shared. Within the ongoing dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity, between vision and construction, Nemesi Architects explores architecture as a field of possibilities, where imagination engages with reality and transforms into a shared form. KEYWORDS
We place the quality of design at the heart of our thinking on urban transformation, a core value of the Italian tradition of urban planning and landscape architecture, in contrast to the trivialisation of reality.
We nurture a dialogue with tradition, with our cultural and landscape heritage, drawing on our historical roots and accumulated experience to give continuity and depth to our projects and make them a living part of their time and place.
We are constantly exploring the potential of new technologies as a means of expanding the expressive possibilities of architecture and enhancing control over the design process.
Innovation thus becomes a catalyst for integrating spatial quality, technical efficiency and environmental responsibility, anticipating and interpreting the most advanced standards of integrated sustainability.
In this balance between experimentation and awareness, the project emerges as a concrete and lasting response to the challenges of the present and the future.
We explore reality and the complex systems that govern it, adopting a systemic and integrated design approach that brings together spatial, social, environmental and economic dimensions.
Every project is conceived as a responsible act, the impact of which is assessed from a broad and informed perspective, taking a 360-degree view of the effects that architecture generates over time, within society and in the local areas where it is situated.
