During the conference, hosted at the Salone delle Colonne in Rome, Susanna Tradati, Associate Partner at Nemesi, contributed to the panel focused on emerging relationships between architecture, technology, and urban identity. The talk, titled “Facades that Speak to the City,” explored the building envelope as an active element of contemporary design—no longer a simple boundary between interior and exterior, but an integrated system capable of engaging in dialogue with its urban and environmental context.
The intervention explored the role of texture, light, shadow and parametric tools in defining architectural surfaces capable of combining aesthetic research, environmental performance and perceptual comfort. Through textural and geometric control of the envelope, façade design becomes a tool to build identity and improve the relationship between building, city and users.
Participation in Zak World of Façades Italia also provided a valuable opportunity for international exchange among professionals, companies, and researchers engaged in the development of innovative building envelope solutions. In this context, Nemesi Architects reaffirms its commitment to design research applied to architectural innovation and the sustainable transformation of urban space.
