Podere 46 stands on a hillock in the Tuscan Maremma, in an area reclaimed in the 1930s. The project transforms a building with rural and fascist pre-existences, opening the interior dimension to the landscape and reinterpreting the original introverted domesticity.
The design integrates architecture, nature and historical memory, generating an immersive and poetic domestic space capable of dialoguing with the natural context of the Maremma countryside.

Habitable landscape vision and regeneration
The Project fits into the context of the Tuscan Maremma by opening the rural pre-existence to the surrounding landscape. The outdoor spaces are organized according to an analytical geometry with neoplastic fields, transforming courtyards and gardens into integrated, man-made architecture, enhancing the landscape and historical memory of the farm.
Architecture between memory and contemporaneity
A new glazed volume connects the main building and the semi-independent guest wing, salvaged from the former tool shed, harmonizing historic and contemporary architecture.
This volume houses the living room and becomes the poetic centerpiece of the estate, with the light Corten steel roof bent to create dynamic tension and the vertical chimney as a symbol of a new concept of living.
Technology, materials and sustainability
The use of authentic and durable materials, particularly Corten steel and existing masonry, emphasizes the material texture of the farm and the dialogue with the landscape.
The project combines innovation, structural lightness and respect for the context, showing how contemporary architecture and rural heritage can coexist harmoniously.
