Previous project / Next project
In Rome’s Ostiense district, near the Gazometro, the Italpromo office complex was born from the transformation of an existing industrial building into a contemporary headquarters capable of combining unified image and functional articulation.

Adaptive reuse
The project stems from the radical transformation of an industrial building maintained in the structural shell alone. This choice makes it possible to preserve the original constructive memory and at the same time generate a completely new architectural organism, capable of meeting contemporary needs for representativeness, flexibility and corporate recognizability.
Tripartite spatial structure
The interior architecture is organized in three continuous longitudinal bands over the entire height: a distribution band that regulates access and connections, a full-height central cavity that introduces light and visual depth, and an operational volume intended for workspaces. This articulation defines a clear and legible spatial hierarchy, facilitating orientation and daily use.
A Distinctive Operational Core
The functional core is a self-supporting teal methacrylate glazed interior body, conceived as a porous and modular structure. This element organizes the spaces of the different operational units while maintaining their autonomy and identity, while the transparency and controlled materiality build a coordinated and recognizable image of the entire complex.
Architectural strategy
The intervention demonstrates how redevelopment of the existing can become an advanced design tool: no volumetric expansion, but maximum spatial intensity, strong visual identity and high environmental quality, achieved through composition, light, matter and structure.
